“Move-Out” Cleaning

Dec 4, 2017 | Community Events, News, Tips

Many commercial buildings or office spaces are leased and when the time comes to turn the keys back over to the landlord,  lease contracts typically require the building to be neat and clean to avoid penalty charges.  Depending on the lease agreement’s specifications and the traffic the building experienced, move-out cleaning services needed can be anywhere from minimal to extensive.  Whatever your Macomb County or Oakland County space requires, Tedesco Building Services can help!

Minimal Cleaning: This level of move-out clean usually includes extra labor hours on top of whatever time and tasks are required for a regular cleaning.  Tasks usually include but are not limited to:

  • extra trash removal as desks and cabinets are cleaned out
  • vacuuming, dusting and cobweb removal in greater detail once furniture has been removed providing access to previously unreachable spaces
  • wiping clean of cabinet/cupboard/drawer interiors

Extensive Cleaning:  When a facility needs to be in tip-top shape or has experienced heavy usage, specialty crews and equipment need to be brought in to return the space to an acceptable level of cleanliness.  In addition to the tasks from a minimal move-out clean, the following may also be included:

  • washing of walls
  • cleaning of carpet
  • VCT strip and wax
  • ceramic tile and other resilient floor machine scrubbing
  • window washing
  • blind dusting
  • restroom deep clean

We recently provided a move-out clean for a machine shop in Sterling Heights and did a spectacular strip and wax job in the process.  These floors had experienced heavy use and staining over the years but our crew worked their magic and came out with a beautiful finish in the end.  Check out these ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures:

Move-out cleans are customized for each project as no two spaces or clients are alike.  If you are nearing the end of your lease  and impending relocation, call us today at 586-997-3337 for a free quote and plan ahead!
