Tedesco Building Services was founded in 1978 by Gary and Theresa Tedesco. Our commercial cleaning company started with two employees, and has grown to over 120 team members providing cleaning & janitorial service for some of Michigan’s largest businesses & property management companies. We are well-respected due to our reputation for consistent, quality cleaning service.

In 1978, Gary, along with his wife, Theresa, founded Tedesco Building Services, Inc.. Originally working out of their home to serve just a handful of local businesses, he has grown the company over the last 45 years to deliver hundreds of janitorial services each week and employ over 100 team members. Gary and Theresa are the proud parents of their son, Joe, the current VP of Tedesco Building Services, and daughter, Lia, a successful ABA therapist. Gary loves supporting Detroit sports teams and social gatherings with friends and family. As our semi-retired president, Gary now mentors Joe as he mans the helm of Tedesco Building Services.
Joseph Tedesco
Vice President
Joe has been with Team Tedesco for over 15 years. In 2014, he took a job opportunity as an Assistant Golf Professional at Walt Disney World Golf to further expand his knowledge and experience. Upon returning in 2018 he stepped in to the role of vice president. Growing up with the values of Tedesco Building Services cemented in his everyday life, Joe has learned from the best to make Tedesco Building Services a wonderful working experience for all parties. In his spare time Joe enjoys playing golf, traveling, and trying new restaurants with his fiancée Christine.
Diane Schaffhauser
General Manager
Diane has dedicated over three decades of her professional life to Tedesco Building Services. She loves her role within the company, drawing on past experiences and an always-learning attitude. She thrives on implementing new ideas within the company to help build the strong, morals-based business she and every Tedesco team member is proud to be a part of. Outside of work, a wonderful day for Diane involves quality time with family and friends, being outdoors, practicing yoga and enjoying a long walk.
Donald Hankins
Operations Manager
Don has worked with Tedesco Building Services since 2005, starting out as a crew member, rising through the ranks to become our operations manager for the last 15 years. Don oversees shop operations, training of employees, launch of all new clients and is our resident floor care and post-construction cleaning expert. Don is the proud father of his teenage daughter who he shares a love of the game of golf with. He enjoys volunteering as a coach of a local high school bowling team and is an avid movie watcher.
DeAnn Ferrella

In 2015, DeAnn joined the Tedesco Building Services team managing payroll and other administrative tasks. “I’ve been blessed to work for such a great company and have the best co-workers” she says. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family and her adorable pup, Pepper. DeAnn loves camping and traveling around Michigan, especially the Thumb area. DeAnn loves rooting for our Detroit teams, especially Detroit Red Wings.
Pamela Abdelnour

Pamela joined Tedesco Building Services in 2012 tasked with new business development and customer service. Her favorite aspect of the position are the personal relationships she builds with clients that show them how valued they are as clients. In addition to life at Tedesco she is a wife, mother to three tiny humans, photographer and zealous podcast listener.
Toni Newfer
Scheduling
Toni Ann stepped into the role of scheduling at Tedesco Building Services in 2000 and handles the allocation of staff and maintenance of the calendar for ‘Team Tedesco’ for both janitorial and specialty projects. She is the proud mother of two adult daughters and two ‘fur babies’, Rosie and Lily. Toni loves long walks with her pups every morning, rain or shine. Outside of work and caring for her pups, Toni is the quintessential Italian whiz in the kitchen and loves cooking baking and spending time with her husband, daughters and extended family.
